Laxmi Pooja Through My Lens

Tihar being one of the biggest festivals of Nepalese been my favorite festival too. It has got lots of colorful lights, flowers, garlands, nice weather an lots of pictures from it. The surrounding is full of subjects to click. Best part of this time is, we have clean sky, bright sunny days, greenery and colorful surrounding and holidays. Grabbing the camera and clicking pictures this time is my favorite work to do. I have taken few pictures of Laxmi Pooja, 3rd dayof Yamapanchak, where we worship Goddess of Wealth, Goddess Laxmi.

Photography as My Passion

1. An evening view from Dabali in Basantapur, Hanuaman Dhoka Durbar Square

I am a learner in photography. I have been learning to click pictures since I was young. I remember my father had a KODAK camera using film rolls and I used to learn to click pictures within border in viewfinder. My Father taught me a lots of techniques regarding the light and framing during my child hood. I had that camera with me until I was in class 10 back in 2004. Then I learned to play with a DSLR camera when I was in Kathmandu back in 2007 when Jyotendra Jyu Thakuri who is my maternal uncle had a Nikon D5100 and now works in Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN). I had learned alots of techniques regarding the use of DSLR and taking pictures from him. He has been my inspiration since then. 

As long as I have understood these long years, nobody is perfect in photography and everybody is learner in it. We have millions of different ways to take a picture of a same subject. Everybody has a different view on a subject we find. Everyone can write a different story in a same subject so does a caption. If anybody boasts for being perfect in Photography then either he is either proud or he is lying.

I use CANON EOS Kiss X5 as my personal DSLR and use cell phone's camera to click the subjects at any where at any time in any condition. For me type of camera does not matter. The thing that matter is the frame, composition, light and color balance. Anybody can take a picture from any kind of device and make it look good, eye-pleasant if he has good knowledge in all of the aforementioned factors of a photo. And regarding the bolg too I am not a perfect guy who know how to blog. As far as I am concern this is my first blog on my passion to photography and I would like to share few pictures I have taken. 

Picture 1. above is picture taken in evening with EXIF settings of ; ISO : 250, Aperture: f/22, Shutter Speed: 1/40 sec, Focal length: 18 mm, and Camera: CANON, EOS Kiss X5. It was enhanced using Lightroom 5.5

2. A lily blooming at Garden of Shining Star Boarding School, Sanepa

The picture 2, was shut under following EXIF settings; ISO: 100, Aperture: f/5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/80 sec, Focal Length: 55 mm and Camera: CANON EOS Kiss X5. It was enhanced using Lightroom 5.5

3. Fine Evening at Fewa lake with resting boats

The Picture 3. was taken by a Samsung Galaxy Note 3's camera and enhanced using the PicArt. I will update its EXIF setting soon.
